bio
Randy Miles is an alt-folk artist born and raised in New England. After a bit of a hiatus and a decade of gigging and touring in bands, such as The Bright Light Occasion, Trees to Towers, and GoldenOak, along the East Coast and sharing the stage with bands like Paramore, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Dashboard Confessional, he's turned inward to craft his first solo album. Dingy basement circus carnies, steel workers and single mothers - Miles writes for the misfits, mystics, and the workers with tired hands. His songs look to transform the minutiae of everyday life into something more evocative that slows the pulse just long enough to notice the beauty and quiet grief of being human right now. Miles’ debut album is rooted in his own growth, stories, and experiences living in rural CT and draws heavily from the current state of our world as he invites the listener to reckon with their own suffering as well as their neighbor’s.
The upcoming record was brought to life alongside a close-knit group of collaborators, including Dex Wolfe (production, engineering, guitar), Pat Keen of Humbird (production, bass, guitar, harmony vocals, percussion, beep boop sounds), JT Bates of Bonny Light Horseman and Reese Kling on drums as well as contributions from Zack Warpinski on pedal steel, and Jacquelyn Beaupré of Voulouse on vocal harmonies. Miles looks to hit the ground running with this eclectic full length album releasing on August 7th of this year.
